GWG 2010 Awards - Call for Nominations
**** 31 MAY 2010 DEADLINE FOR ALL NOMINATIONS ****

The 2010 GWG Awards Nomination Package includes Nomination Forms. Please submit nomination forms to the GWG Secretariat at ncgis-mail@nga.mil by 31 MAY 2010.

The GWG awards program was established to recognize personnel for their contributions in helping to achieve the goals and vision of the GWG. GWG Awards are honorary recognitions given in the following two categories:

ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Up to five individuals each year will be recognized for achievements in one or more specific standards projects, as well as demonstrated technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, or success in implementing innovative techniques, all related to GEOINT standards.

Each GWG participant may nominate up to 3 individuals.

FOUNDER’S AWARD

One individual each year will be honored for their demonstrated leadership, initiative, integrity, and commitment in promoting standards, tackling standards issues, sharing solutions, and addressing interoperability requirements and strategies that support GEOINT via community venues.

Founder's Award nominees are solicited from GWG Core Member Organizations. Each Core Member Organization may nominate 1 individual.  When more than 1 Founder’s Award nomination is received from a Core Member Organization, the GWG Secretariat will provide the nominations to the Primary Core Member Representative to down select to 1 nomination per Core Member Organization.  To reference the Core Member Organizations listing Click Here.

Winners will be announced at the October 2010 GWG Plenary Meeting (date TBD).
